              When experts talk about serving red wine at room  temperature, the room they actually mean is an old European wine cellar. With  the Ravi Instant Wine Refresher, you can quickly lower a wine’s temperature to  that of a cellar, which is between 54 and 64 degrees Fahrenheit. To use the Ravi, let it sit in the freezer for six hours, and then place  it around the neck of the wine bottle. Select your desired temperature  depending on your preferences and what you’re pouring; for instance, 63° to 64°  F is considered optimal for a Bordeaux.  Then, simply place your thumb on the Ravi’s  air-intake valve and tip the bottle. Once the wine is in the serving position,  remove your thumb to let the wine flow. It’s actually not the bottle that’s  being cooled, but the liquid itself. The Ravi  should not alter a wine’s flavor or characteristics, as it is made from the  same stainless steel used for fermentation tanks.
