THE
STURDY SPIEGELAU
Spiegelau Vino Grande Line
While
some may reserve their best stemware for special occasions,
Spiegelau’s Vino Grande line offers glasses that
are high-end yet practical for everyday use. At about
$10 per glass, the price tag is impressive when compared
to the usual cost of glasses at an upwards of $30-$50.
And the look is fragile but amazingly sturdy, a result
of Spiegelau's 500-year history fine-tuning their product
as well as their access to the most experienced glassblowers
in the world.
The
Vino Grande line is admittedly the most plain and undecorated
of Spiegelau’s lines, but these unadorned glasses
have a clean, streamlined feel that will appeal to consumers
who don’t favor ornate crystal. There is also a
large variety of cocktail and wine glasses, making matching
sets possible. In fact, many places have already acquired
these matching sets as Spiegelau glasses grace the tables
of some of the country’s top restaurants, including
Everest,
Felidia,
Jean
Georges and the Mesa
Grill at Caesars
Palace. However, these glasses can also be found at
many retail stores, including Pottery Barn and Best Cellars.
