Tasting
Notes: This 100% barrel fermented Sauvignon
Blanc was treated to six months of barrel aging in four year old French
oak. The result is a distinct style of wine exhibiting generous green
wood and toast integrated with melon and citrus flavors. Don't expect
any of the herbaceousness common in many Sauvignon Blancs. This wine's
flavors far more resemble the full body and woody extractions of a lightly
aged, quality Chardonnay while maintaining the crisp finish typical
of its varietal. (Date tasted 03/03/00)
