Tasting
Notes: It is
rare to find a Sauvignon Blanc that offers elegance without imitating
Chardonnay. Although the juice underwent 12 months of French oak aging,
this wine is saved from that flabby, fumé blanc syndrome by fine
melon flavors and the strength of acidity. Silky in the mouth, it lingers
with a citrus and honeydew finish. (Date tasted 11/5/00)

Tasting
Notes: A very
pleasing find from a tiny Napa producer, the wine exhibits dried fruit
aromas and a refreshing, brewed tea-like flavor. Although its impact
in the mouth is marred by high alcohol content, its long, toasty finish
leaves a lasting impression. (Date tasted 08/26/00)
