Tasting
Notes: A
nice surprise from the North, this sparkler is great as an aperitif,
or as a companion to barbecued fare. The wine is
extra-dry and a good little surprise should you get your
hands on a bottle. Really, when was the last time you had
a sparkling Riesling from Michigan? It is as much a fun wine
as it is a serious one. It’s
made with the cuve closed method and only has 1.4% residual
sugar. It has a medium body and is definitely refreshing.
There is a balance of fruits and flowers on the nose which carry through
in the mouth. Drink it by yourself, at a romantic dinner or with a
group of special friends.

Tasting
Notes: This cold-climate effort
from one of Michigan's finest wineries is a Riesling full
of surprises. The bright and crisp wine displays some sweetness
and effervescence. Enjoy it with summer salads or sweet and
sour dishes.
Profile:
Best known for its sparkling wines, this Michigan-based winery is
an unusual endeavor founded by a neurosurgeon and real estate broker.
When Joe O'Donnell and his partner Bill Stouten discovered a 100-acre
farm in the Leelanau Peninsula, they knew they'd struck upon an incredible
opportunity and adventure. Over ten years later, their wines are
beginning to gain recognition on a national scale. We look forward
to watching this little Midwestern venture grow and evolve.
