Tasting
Notes: This unique blend is the perfect elixir
for summer sipping or Asian spice. Slightly effervescent, its tropical
aromas virtually explode from the glass. With its good acidity and a
crisp, clean finish, this Canadian blend is reminiscent of New Zealand's
raciest Sauvignon Blancs. (Date

Tasting
Notes: One of the most interesting dessert
wines we've recently tasted, the No. 3 offers a rich, caramel color
and ripe, apple aromas. Almost sherry-like in texture, its complexity
of flavors include dried fruits, caramel and spice. Like its namesake,
the No. 3 Brandenburg concerto, the wine's character is at the same
time strong, smooth and sustaining. (Date
tasted: 6/10/00)
Profile:
The leading winery on Vancouver Island, Venturi-Schulze has been setting
a precedent for the British Columbia wine industry since 1993. A family
affair from start to finish, with husband and wife team of Giordano
Venturi, raised in the great Italian winemaking tradition and Marilyn
Venturi, née Schulze, an Australian microbiologist along with Marilyn's
eldest daughter Michelle running the production from start to finish.
In addition to creating hand-crafted wines, Giordano expertise includes
the making of what is probably British Columbia's finest aged balsamic
vinegar.
